On forums and blogs alike, the Orient Mako is an absolute classic and can be attributed to being the watch that started it all for collectors and enthusiasts (and Watch Idiot Savants for that matter) around the globe. The Mako II builds upon the Mako legacy. It has transitioned away from the reliable 46943 automatic movement to the more robust Calber F6922 that is automatic, hand-winding and hacking. This new mechanical movement has removed the need for a second crown at the two o'clock position. The diving bezel has also been upgraded to be 120 click for improved precision. These changes have definitely improved the utility of the Mako as a diver watch, all the while preserving the classic aesthetic that the Mako had become known for. Appropriate for skin diving only!
